Lydia’s antenatal class
impressed me. Before I attend the class, I didn’t understand why
there are 5 sessions and each of the session is 4 hours. After I
attended the class, I understand the reason. Lydia is very
experienced and professional. She is very enthusiastic in
breastfeeding. The information is all rounded. There wasn’t a
moment in the class I will feel bored. My husband and I are very
focused because we didn’t want to miss out anything. We learnt a
lot and we are brainwashed by Lydia. We will do our best to
breastfeed our child and as promised to Lydia, we will also be her
ambassadors.

I would highly recommend
Lydia’s antenatal classes to all the new parent-to-be’s. It’s
extremely informative and comprehensive. It covers a wide range of
information that is really helpful. The way of her presentation and
demonstration can truly help you to understand the technique of
breastfeeding, baby care and most importantly the walkthrough of the
entire labour process. My husband and myself are really happy about
taking the course. Lydia’s knowledge and care helped overcome my
nervousness and gave me strength in natural labour and
breastfeeding.
I am happy that I don’t have
to do much research on all the needed products, as I believe Lydia
has already picked the best for us. The discount was really a bonus
to us.

Your
energy, enthusiasm and passion for the entire “baby process” is
incredible. I wasn’t sure of what to expect when I signed up for your
class but it was exactly what I needed – some theory, lots of
practical and useful tips and notes that I can refer to. And of
course, the amazing postnatal support!

The content was very clear although the slides could be more
“modern” (i.e. faster to load up, newer pictures)

The notes that are sent via email are great but sometimes the
sheer quantity of the notes is a bit daunting. Perhaps you could have
a better naming / filing system so that it is easier for the students
to reference back to a certain topic or item

When I first started your class, I was planning on delivering
vaginally but was 100% planning on getting an epidural. Now after
your class, I have the confidence in myself in going 100% natural.
We’ll see how it goes when I deliver but unless there is a medical
problem / emergency, I definitely do not plan on getting an epidural.

My husband and I have always made a good team but now I feel
like you have equipped us with the know-how for BOTH of us make breast
feeding work (i.e. not all the weight is on my shoulders). The bond
between my husband and I has never been stronger! And I think you can
count on my husband to be a breast feeding ambassador too!

One of your former students,
Jennifer Lam, recommended your course to me, and it really was the
best gift she could ever gift to my baby. The classes are very
informative, and the materials are very helpful. I really don’t
know how other mothers could survive first time motherhood without
attending your classes!
My sister-in-law breastfeeds
her baby (who is now 6 months old) but has had lots and lots of
problems along the way. At times, I think she has difficulty
breastfeeding because she is too stressed and too exhausted. Before
attending your classes, I did fully intend to breastfeed, but I
wasn’t going to force myself if I wasn’t successful. However, after
attending your classes, I now realize knowing the right techniques
is very important and I am now determined to try all my best to
breastfeed my baby!

we’re a blank slate when it comes to prenatal/pediatrics care. Lydia
came highly recommended by our friends. The course content was jam
packed with up to date information and plenty of extracurricular
supplementary materials.
Lydia is a dynamic presenter
who made this course fun and interesting while drilling in important
concepts of being responsible loving parents. We’re also extremely

A mom having the first
baby, like me, must experience complicated feelings with joy,
excitement and anxiety. While I was trying to prepare myself to give
my baby the best as far as I can, I must say Lydia’ s course has
addressed to all my needs. Lydia offered a comprehensive handbook to
the to-be-parents from prenatal care to postnatal care, and from
physiological need to psychological need. She did not only take care
of the moms, the babies, but also the dads. This was extremely
important as both my husband and I better understood each other’s role
and got to know how to support one another.
No books could be compared to Lydia’s course. Lydia was resourceful
that she got plenty of hands-on information and she always had the
most updated knowledge to share with the students. Though the course
was compact, I found everyone could concentrate in the class. Lydia’s

Lydia,
attending your class helps to boost my confidence in breast feeding.
Before attending your class, I would still tend to think that breast
feeding is good but cow milk is a commonly accepted alternative which is
not bad for babies. Therefore I have originally intended to give it
only a trial and if not successful I will switch to milk powder
immediately. After your class, I am now more knowledgeable about how
un-natural it is to feed my baby with milk powder and I have much
confidence in breast feeding my baby with all the skills you have gone
through with us. I will definitely try my very best and I am confident
that I can give you good news later on.
Education in HK teaches us many subjects. But giving birth, taking care
of babies, how to deal with babies’ problems, etc were not specifically
taught. We can more or less only copy our own families’ model. I do
hope that you can consider re-starting your course on baby care after
birth in HK to share your experience with us.

birth, I used to think that I wouldn’t be able to stand the pain and

Lydia’s prenatal class is
very impressive. I found all information provided in the class is
very useful and I feel much more confident and much more prepared
for labor and taking care of new born baby. I have couple of friends
who just recently gave birth to new babies and when we discussed
about breast feeding, labor and other related matters, I found that
I had a lot more knowledge learned from Lydia’s class. Some of
challenges faced by new moms were discussed in the class. I feel

1. The
information offered in class and on website is very useful and
informative. We are glad that you have provided us with so much
useful information (both in class and on website) that we do not
have to search around for these information and yet unsure about the
validity of the information. Also, the information you have
provided covers almost all aspects of what a first time parent
should know and it is very helpful.

Your presentation skill is excellent. You were very clear and to
the point when presenting the content of your material. Also, you
have presented in an interesting and easy to understanding way that
although each session lasted about 5 hours, we did not find it
boring at all. With respect to your attitude, we do find that you
are a very sincere, pleasant and friendly person. Although
sometimes you are quite demanding, we understand that you have done
that simply for our own benefits and we appreciate that. We also
find that you do have the power in convincing people on all the good
benefits of breastfeeding. We are sure that a lot of people have
changed their minds about breastfeeding after attended your prenatal
class and we think it is a good thing. We do require more prenatal
classes like yours so that more people would know the benefits of
breastfeeding.
3. The
demonstrations and practical (especially about the breastfeeding
practical) were very helpful though they were a little too short.
If time allows, we would prefer more time be spent on the
demonstrations and practical so that we can at least see each
demonstration twice and practice for breastfeeding twice as they
would be easily forgotten if they were only shown or practiced once
due to the fact that there were too many things we have learnt in
such a short period, e.g. breastfeeding, finger feeding, lactation
aid technique, baby bathing, etc.
4. We
love the products and this service that you offered. With your
expertise and experience in this field, we have confidence in the
quality of the products that you offered, which means that we can
get the products from you worry-free. In addition, we love this
one-stop shopping service so much as we do not have to go everywhere
to find and get the different products. And the best thing is you
have offered some products that we cannot even get anywhere but are
useful for us.

classes have been informative and fun-filling. Although each class
was approximately 5 hours long, she kept her energy high and delivered
her materials in an organized manor. She was both knowledgeable and
witty. She’s intelligently intertwined her jokes amongst the class
materials to make the course content easier to remember. An
occasional open book questioning to the mothers also helped to keep
people from dosing off.
Lydia
reviews important chapters with everyone to ensure important points
have been carried across to stay in your mind in the days to come.

Lydia

Lydia delivered
the course material in a humourous and interesting way that none of
the participants are bored. Although the class hours are relatively
long, we never left early because of exactly the above reasons, and we
never finished a class without laughing a lot out loud!!
Material
delivered is very relevant to what an expecting mother would
encounter, and advice provided is really practical and informative.
The class in
which an obstetrician was invited as guest speaker provided very
useful insights about what happens during actual baby delivery.Even
though emphasized throughout the class that there is no obligation to
purchase the suggested products, we found that it is very convenient
to buy the products we need from one source (rather than buying from
several places at higher prices).
All in all this
pre-natal course is highly recommended to all expecting parents,
especially the husbands who will be helping the mothers a lot after
the child’s birth.

The 7 sections of the prenatal class are very
informative, especially to the dad-to-be. He’ll have the
preparation of welcoming a new born, and at the same time, not
missing to care about the wife’s feeling. It also help the dads to
understand more on how to help the moms out besides mental support.
With lot of information (notes, handouts), it
really helps us to prepare, and review the important points,
especially when we are encountering the pain, after birth baby care
and postnatal care, I’m glad that there are something for me to
reference to anytime.
It’s persuasive enough especially on the
breastfeeding sections, even though all the moms haven’t give birth
yet, but I’m pretty sure we all are pretty confident giving the best
to our babies – breast milk.
The last thing is the convenience of a “one
stop shop” of all the great products that you are able to provide.
It really ease us, the new parents out on what we should get for the
new born, and ourselves.

Lydia Ling is one of the best instructors I’ve
ever met, her class has taught me all the important information on
prenatal, postnatal, baby care, breast-feeding & even social
communication skills. She has taught me everything I expect or want
to learn, and has unselfishly disclosed every details in different
aspects. Her class content is clear, easy to understand &
interesting, the way she interprets is sincere, funny & never
boring, no one would fall asleep in her class.
I am quite an impatient person myself and hate
going to classes or seminars, but since I took this course I
actually looked forward to attend this class every week, I had no
urge to skip classes at all!

My husband and I are very proud of ourselves to be one of the students
of Lydia. Lydia’s prenatal class is a unique preparation course
tailoring especially for first-time mothers and fathers like us, and of
course even in a second and third pregnancy the review is always
worthwhile. All seven classes are very fun and helpful to learn
information about pregnancy, labor and delivery, stress relaxation
techniques, physical exercises, breastfeeding practice and basic skills
of baby care. Although we haven’t gone through the real stages of labor
and delivery at this moment (I am currently pregnancy for 33 weeks),
both of us seem like pass through the entire birthing process in our
mind. Of course, we often encourage each other to review class notes/
internet print-out, and practice breathing exercises regularly in free
time.
Lydia’s teaching techniques are very impressive to us. Her teaching
skills could make us easy to understand every single learning point. As
a new parent of us, we are 100% worried about this thing and scared of
that thing (we know some questions are unnecessary to worry). Lydia is
an experienced instructor who is able to provide straightforward,
commonsense solutions to all the problems and unforeseen events we are
likely to encounter. By the way, she goes beyond passing along

I found
the information at all these classes to be extremely useful and
appreciate that Lydia makes the extra effort to supply this on
separate files so that we can download. These will come in handy for
mothers who will deliver in a few months from now and will have
forgotten the information by then. It is very apparent that Lydia is
very pro-breastfeeding and would like to minister to every one of her
students the benefits of it. I agree with her and though it will take
extensive, continuous education to make women realize the superiority
of breastfeeding, Lydia is doing an excellent job promoting it. It is
also a delight to see Lydia so caring of her students and want to
share so much of her knowledge rather than just teach what is
required. I am grateful that I have attended Lydia’s classes as

Content: All the contents covered in the class were very
practical, detailed, clear and it was easy to understand. I
especially enjoyed our ‘practical session’, the videos were very
interesting (although I would suggest to also include a video on
natural birth), and it was great to have the one-on-one on the
positioning on breast feeding. The session with Dr. Paul Shuen was
also very informative. To obtain professional oversight and the Q&A
session was really helpful, it helped us clarified a lot of our
concerns in regards to Epidural, Medal Blades and Vacuum.
Every class was filled with a lot of useful information; it was all
in all an excellent class!

Conductor’s Attitude: Lydia was truly amazing! Energetic, friendly
and with her touch of humor had made the course interesting from
beginning to the end! She was able to provide us with clear and
convincing advice from her wide range of knowledge gained in her
many years of professional experience. The guidance that she had

had learned from the 7 classes (especially as a first time mother)

The class is amazing in terms of both quality and
quantity. Other classes in the market simply cannot be compared to your
class. We have co-workers giving born to new babies recently. We talk
about experiences on prenatal classes, and people are surprised by what
we have learned from your class.We really appreciate the time and effort
that you put into the class. We admire the energy that you still carry
after so many years of teaching. Instead of just briefly running
through the materials you have prepared, your engaging presentation
style make us remember all the details easily. “Relaxation…….Latch on

the other instructor was talking about the same thing, like relaxation

All the slides and demonstrations made the different topics a lot
easier to understand. Reinforced with the notes provided after each
class, it gave us the complete picture and point of references

Comprehensive, Informative & very useful
information which provide a clear picture for mother and baby care. Its
encouraging and have more confidence to give birth naturally and to
breastfeed.Provide follow up channel after lessons which is very

Before I attended your class, I had no expectation
at all. During my previous check up, my obstetrician asked if I would
like to attend prenatal class or not, and she gave me the information of

Lydia is very professional in many areas, not just her medical & breastfeeding knowledge. She is also very professional to delivery her knowledge to her students in the most effective way. After 6 prenatal classes, I gained a lot of knowledge and confidence in regards to handling the labour and the newborn baby.
Lydia gives many tips and hints not only to the mother-to-be. Also, she prepares the heart and the emotional feeling for the father-to-be. She gives the confidence to the husbands and shows them how to support their wives during labour. This enhances the relationship between the husbands and wives.
The way that Lydia presents her materials is very interesting and energetic. Although, we stay in the class for more than fours hours each session, we were not bored at all. Her presentation skill is excellent and she is also very knowledgeable. In addition to her professional skills, she is also a traditional Chinese mother of 3 children. She shares her experience in her motherhood in the Chinese culture in conjunction with her professional in the western medical knowledge. I found this is very helpful for a Chinese first time mom-to-be, especially in the foreign country.

The entire course is very comprehensive and
detailed, it definitely help my husband and me a lot.
After the course, we felt a lot more comfortable
and confidence in terms of preparing the reception of our baby. The part
in breastfeeding is very extremely good, be honest, before I attend the
class, I am not sure if I am going to do breastfeeding, but now I
definitely will do and hope can be successes.
This course is especially helpful to couples like
us who are having the first baby and don’t have our parents in Canada
who can provide us the necessary knowledge (at least the traditional
Chinese way) about prenatal changes, labour, breastfeeding and new baby
care.
A special applause and compliment must give to you
for your sincere and pleasant attitude in terms of conducting the class,
also your friendly, pleasant and good sense of humor attitude is one of
the key element to keep us awake in the class (especially after lunch
and have to sit for 4 hours), even my husband didn’t fell into sleep
once! Of course, the knowledge we got from you is extremely valuable
and worthwhile for spending 4 hours every Sunday.
In addition, I really like the part that we can

It has been wonderful experience attending your classes. You are recommended by many of our friends and they are saying that you have been providing useful information about pregnancy, breastfeeding, labor and infant care as well as support after classes. After all these sessions, my husband and I found the prenatal class conducted by Lydia is extremely useful. Before we attend this class, we have already decided to have breastfeeding, however we are not sure about the techniques and all the breastfeeding advantage. Lydia has provided us with practical breastfeeding techniques as well as very strong support on breastfeeding. She makes us so comfortable and confident that breastfeeding is the best for our baby. Although some knowledge are common sense, there are still lots of details provided from you notes and lectures that I could have overlooked or easily missed out have I not taken your course.
